Dancing muses for Easter – Shelley, 1924

Wishing everyone a wonderful Easter weekend!

Easter is always a mixed bag of things – I like listening to Bach’s Matthew Passion, a tradition I grew up with and even though I don’t call myself a Christian anymore this story put to beautiful music is deeply human, meaningful and touching, far beyond any particular religion.

At the same time, Easter is a time of egg hunts, sunny outings, flowers and watching the ducklings 🐣🌷🌼

Today I am sharing a wonderful addition to my collection (and it is looking for a good home): a cabaret coffee set from Shelley with dancing muses, 1924. It was made on the cusp of the gracious Art Nouveau and bold Art Deco era and it is in spectacularly good shape… you can find the listing here in my Vintage shop.
